This high-quality shiny cotton is GOTS-certified: this standard recognizes textile products made with natural fibers grown using organic agriculture. It’s woven in Milan by Iafil, a company that has treated cotton since 1890. Every step is done in accordance with the Better Cotton Initiative, the world’s largest cotton sustainability scheme, supporting the environment and indigenous communities.
Iafil selects fibers grown in fields free from chemical pesticides and fertilizers and creates the thread using cutting-edge technology that stabilizes the product, making it resistant to pilling and distortion. During the dyeing process, they use certified organic pigments that bring out the natural features of the thread while staying kind to the world.
Care
This garment can be washed in the washing machine, on a low spin cycle that doesn’t exceed 30°C. Lay it out flat to dry to ensure it keeps its shape well.
If you’d like to be even gentler, wash it by hand: leave to soak for 5 minutes, rinse and wring it out while keeping it wrapped up in a towel to preserve the natural fibers.
Last tip from us: be conservative with the detergent and softener, there’s no need to overdo it. Store the clean folded garment in a cool dry place.
Design
Great craftsmanship begins with premium quality ethically-sourced materials, giving you a garment that will last a lifetime. This knitted garment is suitable for springtime and cooler summer days, made using single-ply yarn knitted at 5 gauge thickness. The gauge refers to the number of needles per inch on the needle bed. The higher the number of needles, the finer the yarn needs to be.
Drop stitching the yarn makes the garment more refined and well-balanced. Drop stitching means lowering the needles in the machine to create curves in the knit without using scissors: a premium technique that guarantees less waste.
Every garment is washed, to consolidate its texture and get rid of any residual scraps from production.
