100% Linen
The ultimate summer fabric, lightweight and comfortable on the skin. What you’re looking at is linen with a faded effect: the colors are slightly muted, taking on their own unique shade for a simple, yet sophisticated garment. Linen fiber is naturally durable, hypoallergenic and thermoregulatory. It doesn’t pill or absorb odors.
Ours originally comes from Normandy, where the environment is suitable for cultivation. It consumes few nutrients from the soil and the entire plant gets used after harvesting. It’s woven here in Italy by Albini 1876, a company based near Bergamo that has been producing high-quality fabric for generations, while staying kind to the environment. They oversee the entire production chain and use cutting-edge machinery that reduces emissions and water usage.

Care
This garment can be washed in the washing machine, on a low spin cycle that doesn’t exceed 30°C. Lay it out flat to dry to ensure it keeps its shape well.
Linen is particularly durable, but if you’d like to be even gentler, wash it by hand: leave to soak, rinse it out and wrap it in a towel before wringing out excess water to preserve the natural fibers.
Last tip from us: be conservative with the detergent and softener, there’s no need to overdo it. Store the clean folded garment in a cool dry place.

Design
Great craftsmanship begins with premium quality ethically-sourced materials, giving you a garment that will last a lifetime.
This shirt has a shifted armhole, a typical tailoring technique from Naples and Apulia that requires time and precision, resulting in a more comfortable piece that gives you room to move. Seams have seven stitches per centimeter: high-quality shirts have narrower stitches because they’re more refined and resistant.
The flat fell seam is 3mm wide: the border at the bottom is small and fine, and the side stitching is narrow and elegant. To fell means to sew on the wrong side, taking the excess fabric, folding it under a sewing machine foot and closing it all. This technique requires a certain level of experience.
Where the side seam meets the hem we’ve added a gusset, a small triangle of fabric to reinforce the stitching.
The buttons are made of mother-of-pearl trocas: a natural and precious material made from trochidae shells. Slightly opaque, it goes well with the sophisticated yet casual style of the shirt.
The finished garment is then washed, so the shirt will stay as beautiful as you see it. Our artisans line up the fabric at the cutting stage and wash the finished piece so it won’t shrink in subsequent washes.

Made in Italy
We’ve always put our trust in the hands of the best local craftsmen. Afterall, Italy itself is like a huge open-air workshop. This shirt was sewn in Francavilla Fontana, in the Brindisi province. The Apulian district has a long history in the textile industry. Antonio and Valentina, owners of our shirt factory there, have worked really hard to build a business that today operates worldwide.
