We recommend dry cleaning this garment, as indicated on the label. If worn in the rain: once you’re back inside, let it air dry away from any heat sources. This keeps fabric fresh and new. 

When you’re not wearing the jacket, empty the pockets and hang it on a large and sturdy clothes hanger: that way the sleeves, shoulders and pockets will keep their shape.

The suit jacket uses Half-Canvas construction: the inner canvas is attached to the fabric with a zig zag stitch that extends from the shoulders down to the center of the chest. This allows the garment to maintain its structure over time, enhancing the shoulders and chest. 

Its features include a Neapolitan shoulder: following the body’s natural form, it allows for greater freedom of movement. It’s unstructured and unpadded; the armhole is actually wider than the sleeve and is attached via an external stitch to create the visible characteristic pleats. This technique has been borrowed from traditional Neapolitan tailoring.

The lapel is classic, with a buttonhole adding a touch of sophistication.

The buttons are made of corozo, a natural material derived from Ecuadorian palm tree nuts.

The breast pocket is piped, meaning the excess fabric is folded and stitched at the bottom: a classic stylistic detail.

The front pockets have been designed with flaps. However, on more formal occasions, try tucking the flap in - this turns them into jetted pockets.

The lining is made from cupro, a natural material derived from cotton seeds: the cellulose surrounding the seeds is transformed, spun and woven, to create a breathable, hypoallergenic fabric with a lustrous finish, also known as plant-based silk. Ours is crafted by the company Bemberg, based in Germany, who have specialized in cupro for over a century. 

The suit has a drop 6 (drop 7 EU) fit with a regular length. The drop refers to the difference between the chest and waist measurements. For more detailed sizing information, please refer to our size guide.

The trousers have a slightly higher waistband than standard, sitting closer to the navel. We’ve added a cotton waistband that, along with the spacchetto, ensures comfort. The spacchetto is the V-shaped slit found at the back of the waistband, increasing comfort and allowing a tailor to easily adjust the fit. 

The button placket is extended to secure the waistband and hide the zipper.

These pants have a watch pocket, or coin pocket: a nod to traditional tailoring.
