90% Merino wool 10% Cashmere
A warm premium blend of Merino wool with added cashmere, a lightweight elastic fiber that makes the garment even softer and more delicate.
They are made by Linsieme Filati, a Tuscan company in business for over 40 years. They use their expertise to transform natural fibers into premium yarns, through an in-house production cycle and the use of solar energy.

Care
To wash by hand: fill up a basin with lukewarm water with a few drops of mild or delicate laundry detergent. Turn the garment inside out and immerse it, allowing it to absorb all the water to refresh the fibers. Don’t leave it to soak for longer than 5 minutes or the detergent could cause damage. Rinse delicately, without wringing it out.
To wash in the washing machine, always turn it inside out or put it inside a delicates bag. Choose a short delicate cold wash cycle that doesn’t exceed 30°C. If possible, turn off the spin cycle (or set it to maximum 400 RPM).
Once the wash is finished, lay the garment on a towel and slowly roll them up together to eliminate excess water. To finish the drying process, lay it out somewhere flat and in the shade.
As for pilling? The dreaded pills that form on the surface of a garment are actually the material's ordinary reaction to friction against itself or other surfaces. It's naturally expressed by cashmere and high quality wool, so when you wear it, make sure to use an anti-pilling comb and always take care of the fibers when washing. That way they'll last you longer.

Design
Great craftsmanship begins with premium quality ethically-sourced materials, giving you a garment that will last a lifetime. That’s why our artisans must carry out various anti-pilling tests once a garment is pieced together. Pilling occurs naturally with most knitwear, but less so when the clothing is good quality. We take care to minimize it as much as possible, so we subject each sample to friction tests and assess the outcome. It’s a time-consuming process that requires a lot of trial and error, but that in the end gives us a longer lasting sweater.
It is made using 2-ply yarn and knitted at 7 gauge thickness. The gauge refers to the number of needles per inch on the needle bed. The higher the number of needles, the finer the yarn needs to be.
Drop stitching the yarn makes the garment more refined and well-balanced. Drop stitching means lowering the needles in the machine to create curves in the knit without using scissors: a premium technique that guarantees less waste.
Knitwear gets washed after being made so it will stay just as beautiful as you see it. Our artisans line up and full the fabric during the production phase - this process brings out the softness in the wool.

Made in Italy
We’ve always put our trust in the hands of the best local craftsmen. Afterall, Italy itself is like a huge open-air workshop. Made in Bagnacavallo, in the Ravenna province, this sweater was created in a workshop owned by Gilberto. His knitwear company has been spinning top quality yarns since 1995, combining research and passion to produce excellence. To date they have over three thousand designs, created through continual experimentation with new yarns. For durable pieces made in a variety of textures and thicknesses.
