One of the most beautiful and premium leathers, with a natural sheen. Our horse hide leather is made from the sturdiest part of the animal. Only those with experience can soften and smooth its surface, by hand, piece by piece.

It is processed using a vegetable tanning method: natural substances preserve the leather's malleability, allowing the shoe to mold to the shape of your foot over time. Once treated, it is hand-polished—a crucial step that ensures durability and evens out its tone. An additional layer of natural waxes, such as chestnut, further enhances its luster.

This age-old technique makes for a comfortable and completely resoleable shoe with a refined aesthetic. Its construction requires many steps and specialized expertise, which is why we only put our trust in the hands of a few workshops to create it. 

The process begins with careful study of the leather; after finding the best part, the artisan cuts and shapes it round the last to form the upper. This is then delicately hammered to smooth down the seams and soften the parts that come into contact with the foot. The artisan carves out the sole channel - a groove running around the entire perimeter of the insole: on the inside, the welt and outer edges of the upper are bonded together. A cork-based product is then used to even out the surface, making it smooth and uniform. The midsole is added and the sole fixed with Rapid stitch, named after the machine used to create it.

This type of construction creates an additional inner hidden layer - the cork-based one - between the shoe and the outsole that gives it a particularly soft fit that takes the shape of your foot over time.

Made to last from vegetable tanned cowhide. Its edges are smoothed, polished and brushed. This traditional process requires technique and dexterity.

Production is based in Montegranaro, in the Marche region, where the tradition of shoemaking has deep roots. For a product that lasts, we only select leathers that age well and put our trust in people who have been in this industry for generations.
