100% Irish linen
Irish linen is a premium material with a weave different from traditional linen: it’s thicker and heavier, therefore less prone to creasing. It’s naturally durable with thermoregulatory properties.
Its cultivation consumes few nutrients from the soil, leaving it healthy, and the entire plant gets used after harvesting. This linen has been produced by the Baird McNutt mill in Kells, in business since 1798. They combine traditional methods with cutting-edge machinery 100% powered by green energy.
Care
We recommend dry cleaning, as noted on the label. After all this is a delicate piece, exposed to our daily adventures.
Design
Classic double-pleated pants. The hip width is comfortable and the thigh narrows from the knee downwards, towards the unfinished hem.
The waistband is supported by a small cotton belt on the inside: a technique borrowed from bespoke tailoring that, along with the V-split, brings comfort to the waistline. The V-split can be found at the back of the waistband: it gives room for freedom of movement or for a tailor to adjust the pants’ fit.
The button placket is extended, ensuring the waist is nice and secure, and hiding the button panel.
These pants have a watch pocket, or coin pocket: a nod to traditional tailoring.
The buttons are made from natural horn: this premium material is super durable and its marbled look makes each piece unique.
